REPORT

An enrolment Sunday was conducted on 28 September 2003. The Core Community and Father Ephrem worked on how to create small groups. This was done as much as possible by the nearest postcode and dates suitability.

Formation sessions for leaders of small groups were then conducted. For Season one, there were 10 groups having 75 members in total. Apart from those involved in small groups there were over twenty people who were not able to attend in groups some were dispersly located and some due to time constraints. However, these members were sent the Weekly translations to follow up the program with their spouses or next of kin at home.

Translations of season one was done by several members in the program. Father Kidane edited all materials.

There was however, the problem of photocopying. This issue was raised in the Chaplaincy Committee in its meeting of 12th October 2003. The AYWL coordinator requested for a budget to be set aside for the program, especially for photocopying expenses, nevertheless all photocopying for season one was done by volunteers.

Recently, we have been donated a used photocopier by the Comboni Sisters in Chiswick, West London. The AYWL team would like to thank Sr. Azezet Haile for her support and assistance to the program in particular and to the Chaplaincy in general.

We have started Season Two on 29th February (one week later than the official start) and we are well into the 3rd week at this date of report. Two of the previous groups have merged into one and one new group is formed. Translation of material for this season is almost finalised.

We would like to thank to all who have done their part to help this program, may God bless them all. And to all those who are in groups or outside of the small groups but are following this program in their own way, we hope that you will be able to benefit from your involvement.

The Coordinator
AYWL, Gheez-Rite
